SPILL: Personal Stories from Louisiana About the Cost of Oil
The Laramie Project’s writer Leigh Fondakowski showcases her knack for riveting storytelling in her latest work, Spill, which focuses on the aftermath of the 2010 BP oil spill off the Gulf Coast of Louisiana. In it, actors play real-life interviewees who were affected by the spill, including fishermen, scientists, cleanup workers, and family members of victims who died in the disaster, painting an unflinchingly personal portrait of the consequences of oil dependence.
