At Stanford’s Comedy Club, seasoned and upcoming comedians vie for patrons’ chuckles on the stage that launched the careers of notable funnymen Larry the Cable Guy, Lewis Black, and Lisa Lampanelli. On Wednesday–Sunday evenings, audiences file into the intimate showroom awaiting funny folks such as The Hangover’s Bryan Callen (June 21–23), and Judy Tenuta (September 19–23), whose irrepressible energy spices up her hilarious routines. Actor, director, and comedian Bobcat Goldthwait (August 17–18), whose screechy, gruff voice has appeared in blockbuster hits Police Academy and Scrooged, causes audience members to cover their mouths as they cackle at his dark brand of standup comedy. Laugh magnet T.J. Miller (September 26–29) shows off the talent that earn him roles in the movies She’s Out of Your League and Rock of Ages during his self-deprecating routine, which sometimes spotlights his occasional overindulgence of alcohol and his many created characters. Check out the full lineup of giggle-makers here.

Stanford’s Comedy Club, located in the Legends at Village West, prevails as one of the few comedy theaters to be built from the ground up. Like a Las Vegas showroom, the two-level structure is properly fortified to prevent contagious laughter from exploding into full-blown guffaw pandemics. This deal may be used with special events, which have limited availability. Although not included in this Groupon, food, cocktails, and nonflammable beverages are available at all shows.

About Stanford & Sons Comedy Club

Originally opening in Westport in 1975, Stanford & Son's Comedy Club gave an early outlet to comedy giants such as Jerry Seinfeld and Roseanne. The club packs in up to 300 audience members for sets from a long list of up-and-comers as well as seasoned performers. The pros fish for chuckles during shows held Wednesday–Sunday; Thursdays also give novices the chance to try their hand at the club's open mic. All the while, drinks flow freely from two sizable bars.
