Garden District & Mansion Walking Tour: Visit the “American” section of town that was built to rival the architectural splendor of the Creoles’ French Quarter. Guests will get a chance to see the homes of former Kings and Queens of Mardi Gras, located along the route, and will visit Lafayette Cemetery and learn about the unusual practice of above-ground burial, of which the area is known.
Swamp & Bayou Tour: After a short ride across the river (included), guests explore the land and ecosystem within the Louisiana swamps and bayous, all from the safety of a custom-built swamp boat. Visit the nesting grounds of the local wildlife, including alligators, egrets, and nutria, and discover the path seafood takes from water to table.
