Choose between the following performances:

- Saturday, May 5, at 8 p.m.<p>
Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Pulling from Japan’s rich musical traditions for each performance, Taikoza captivates concertgoers of all ages with wall-rattling rhythms and dynamic dance movements. The colorfully costumed ensemble has cavorted across stages internationally, appearing on such major networks as ESPN, NBC, and in several video games. Irrepressible toe tapping sweeps through the MMAC as thunderous rhythms escape from ancestral Japanese taiko drums, including a 170-pound drum that reverberates with pleas for silence from the family trying to sleep inside. When thumping tempos recoil for a brief reprieve, the spotlight shifts to bamboo flutist Marco Lienhard, whose whimsical arrangements waft above audience members trying to capture their favorite notes in butterfly nets.
