What You’ll Do
Every artist must master a few basic skills before they can create greatness—for chefs, knife expertise is chief among these. Inside Taste Buds Kitchen, instructors teach the ins and outs of proper cutting technique on everything from jalapeños to the unforgiving tomato. Once finished, students will be able to slice, dice, chop, and mince their way to great meals.
Mix and Mingle
Sip wine or beer from home (glasses and bottle openers will be provided) while meeting the fellow students in your group.
Hone Knife Skills
At cooking stations with provided cutting boards and knives, instructors teach proper cutting techniques.
Slice and Dice
Prepare fresh salsa and a jalapeño-lime mayonnaise, then enjoy your creations and bring home the leftovers.
Where You’ll Meet
Taste Buds Kitchen
When she was a child, Taste Buds Kitchen founder and “Chief Bud” Jessi Walter Brelsford learned that food and fun were synonymous in her family’s weekly “gourmet nights.” Today, in Taste Buds’ 750-square-foot training kitchen, more than 20 culinary pros carry on this tradition by bringing gourmet fun to kids and adults alike. While teaching proper cooking techniques, they lead pasta lessons, sushi classes, and other programs that have garnered praise from the likes of New York Magazine and the Wall Street Journal.
