Like every member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah has a soft spot for soul music, pulpy narratives, and horror movies. But Twelve Reasons to Die, his tenth and latest LP, is the first time he’s woven all of these elements into a single narrative. With liquid samples and original grooves from producer Adrian Younges, the concept album portrays Ghostface as a deceased mafia enforcer who rises from the dead to enact revenge upon his former employers and put an end to Joe Pesci’s music career.
