Before founding the Boston Comedy Festival more than a decade ago, Jim McCue had been honing his skills on the road—something he hasn’t tired of to this day. The veteran of the standup circuit has performed on Comedy Central and NBC’s Last Comic Standing, slung jokes at more than 100 USO shows, and authored the war-zone comedy manual Embedded Comedian. In each of his performances, he uses the timing of a drummer whose arms are covered in stop-watches, a gift of audience interplay, and a fearless approach to improv to make every performance unique.
