The City Game presented by GNC
Separated by just two miles, the Pittsburgh and Duquesne men’s basketball teams first clashed on January 13, 1932—a game that saw the Dukes win in a shootout, 28-21. Since then, however, the Panthers have had the upper hand.

Boasting a 50-31 all-time advantage, Pitt has won 12 consecutive match-ups over Duquesne, and 31 of the series’ last 34 games. On November 30, the 82nd annual City Game pits the two schools against each other yet again as the Dukes try to break the streak. To do so, they’ll turn to guard Derrick Colter, who posted one of the best freshman seasons in school history a year ago. The Panthers, meanwhile, are set to counter with small forward Lamar Patterson, who steps in as the team’s main scoring threat after average 10 points per game last season.
