Comedy has long been used to subvert the established order, shedding light on modern life's pervasive absurdities and fomenting distrust of potentially seltzer-filled boutonnieres. Discover some rollicking truths with this GrouponLive deal to see a show at The Comedy Zone inside NC Music Factory. Choose from the following options:

  • For $10, you get two general-admission tickets to any regular standup-comedy show (up to a $24 value).
  • For $15, you get four general-admission tickets to any regular standup-comedy show (up to a $48 value).
  • For $20, you get six general-admission tickets to any regular standup-comedy show (up to a $72 value).
  • For $25, you get eight general-admission tickets to any regular standup-comedy show (up to a $96 value).

Standing before a mural of the nighttime Charlotte skyline with "The Comedy Zone" imposed over a massive moon, nationally touring comics present finely honed humor. Ron Feingold (June 27) performs a one-man variety show, crafting songs from the ground up using only his voice as percussion, instruments, and backup vocals. Bacon and Beer with Mike Speenberg and James Sibley (July 4–7) packs a double-header of complementary comedians, with Mike Speenberg musing on the similarities between school and prison food and James Sibley offering his how-not-to-do-it marriage advice. Less dude-centric sets abound as well: August 15 welcomes superhumanly laid-back mother-of-four Ms. Pat, and fellow Southerner Fortune Feimster arrives on September 30 with a grab bag of hyperconfident characters such as Hooters waitress Darlene Witherspoon.

The Comedy Zone

Standing before a mural of the nighttime Charlotte skyline with "The Comedy Zone" imposed over a massive moon, nationally touring comics present finely honed humor. Within the NC Music Factory's sprawling entertainment complex, The Comedy Zone keeps punch lines rolling with its regularly stuffed calendar of established and up-and-coming jokesters. From table seats, visitors can wet their whistles with a bounty of domestic and imported beers, bottles of wine, four-straw margaritas, and savory cocktails and feast upon a menu of classic pub fare. Monthly open-mic nights test rookies' mettle, and armchair comics can sign up for classes where industry professionals ramp up joke-writing skills, obliterate stage fright, and share the secret noise that makes hecklers cry.

Great atmosphere. Enjoyed it. Laughed a lot. Drinks were great. Food was ok. But I had a great time.
