Colorado Music Hall of Fame Induction Concert
The reason to celebrate: the induction of several “20th Century Pioneers” into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame
The inductees: Glenn Miller, Paul Whiteman, Max Morath, Billy Murray, Elizabeth Spencer, and Lannie Garrett
Who will perform: the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Lannie Garrett
About Lannie Garrett: named “Favorite Female Vocalist” by readers of The Denver Post on more than one occasion, the redheaded chanteuse has toured with her big band Any Swing Goes, opened for Ray Charles, and worked alongside everyone from B.B. King to Jay Leno.
About the Glenn Miller Orchestra: formed in 1956 after the legendary bandleader went missing-in-action overseas, the Orchestra carries on the smooth and swinging musical tradition he helped popularize.
