The Official Blues Brothers Revue resurrects the unhinged spirit and big-band sound of the comedic musical duo during a whirlwind performance packed with signature songs, mischievous humor, and choreographed mayhem. Since 1998, Wayne Catania and Kieron Lafferty have channeled the iconic pair on national tours and on TV. Backed by a smoking four-piece rhythm section, blazing horns, and a drum section still steaming from the deep fryer, The Official Blues Brothers Revue are one of the few tribute acts to earn the stamp of approval from Dan “Elwood Blues” Aykroyd and the estate of John “Jake Blues” Belushi.<p>

Masters of the Fiddle brings together two of the world’s finest players of Cape Breton–style fiddle—which actually isn’t that difficult, considering that they are married. Two-time Juno-winner [Natalie MacMaster](http://www.nataliemacmaster.com/) and her husband, Donnell Leahy, (of the family band [Leahy](http://leahymusic.com/)) have performed with artists including Yo-Yo Ma and Faith Hill, and were the focus of a TED Talk on the regional genre in 2009. Their sprightly music has its roots in traditional Celtic jigs, but in recent years the pair has incorporated the sounds of other areas, most notably Appalachian bluegrass.

The studio-born and classically trained musicians of [Classic Albums Live](http://classicalbumslive.com) romanticize music’s long-playing, preshuffle heyday with live re-creations of entire records, meticulously maintaining every note and cut of the original recordings. The Who’s fifth studio album leaps to life in this concert, from the slow-building complexity of “Baba O’Riley” to the ear-piercing climax of “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” Unlike Tommy or the unfinished Lifehouse, Who’s Next is not a rock opera, but nevertheless spans vast depths of emotion while experimenting with synthesizers and borrowing from nonrock genres. Mayo Performing Arts Center

The Mayo Performing Arts Center straddles time. While one foot is planted in the old-fashioned charm of the 1930s movie-palace golden age, the other is firmly in the tech-savvy modern day. Between is a stretch of history that saw the theatre fall into disrepair and then resurrect itself to its star-studded heyday thanks to volunteers. Since its 1994 rebirth, the center has welcomed everyone from the Kirov Orchestra of St. Petersburg to Ringo Starr and Aretha Franklin. But, if the Mayo Center were a tripod, its third foot would certainly reach toward the future—a suite of education studios is onsite to cultivate the next generation of performers.
