The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Dripping with fishnets and leather, the late-night B-movie spoof The Rocky Horror Picture Show inducts attendees into a beloved, rowdy tradition. As archetypal pair of squares Brad and Janet approach the castle of the fabulous Dr. Frank-N-Furter and meet his minions—including decrepit butler Riff Raff; patched-together golden boy Rocky; and, played by Meat Loaf, rock-and-roller Eddie—a shadow cast of actors clothed in lingerie gyrates in front of the screen. In the audience, a decades-long tradition of crowd participation carries on as guests are encouraged to participate in a group “Time Warp” dance, shine flashlights during the song “Over at the Frankenstein Place,” and pop balloons if their dates fall asleep.

The Rocky afficiandos of Frankie’s Fishnets, Arizona’s Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast, bring extra flair to the evening, with costume contests, a wide selection of adult beverages, and prop kits to heighten the experience. Those who arrive scantily clad for the costume contest are encouraged to bring extra demure clothing to cover up, in case they run into their grandparents or a temperance league in the lobby.<p>

Arizona Event Center

Wanting to see more art, music, and entertainment in their town, a few local businessmen decided to take matters into their own hands and build a venue flexible enough to host all three. Their creation—the 30,000 square foot Arizona Event Center—boasts three stages between the back theater and front pavilion, comfortably hosting up to 4,000 guests at any given time. They rent the versatile space out for concerts, sporting events, trade shows, comedy nights, and even weddings, enhancing each experience with a professional lighting and sound system.

While the place itself is already impressive, the owners supplement its intrinsic charms with local business partnerships. The Mesa Police Department oversees certain security duties, liquor and energy drink companies supply complementary goods as advertisements, and Yellow Cab makes sure that plenty of vehicles are on hand to ferry away partiers who took advantage of the full bar or donated their rides to a monster truck rally.

Customer Reviews

This was an amazing experience. It reminds me of the old WWF shows with Junk Yard Dog, Hulk Hogan, etc. It was great fun for the kids. The violence is more acrobatic than actual. The antics between the fighters and the referee was well done. It is a great time.

Very sexy, highly entertaining (for either sex), and well worth the money (Tip: I suggest you bring some cash to enter the raffle and if you don't want to use your card at the bar)
