The Program
- Mahler Symphony No. 6: Composed in 1903 and 1904, Symphony No. 6 earned the nickname Tragische (“Tragic”) due to a doom-and-gloom ending. It’s a powerful piece that soars from energetic marches and pulsing rhythms to softer, more lyrical melodies.
