Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah and D-Block’s Sheek Louch merge their famed crews in a showcase of infectious flow and lyrical ruthlessness

About This Deal

At the wildest concerts, rappers have been known to throw themselves into the crowd and end their sentences with prepositions. Be shocked and appalled with this deal to see Wu-Block: Ghostface Killah and Sleek Louch at Sound Academy. For $15, you get one G-Pass for general admission on Wednesday, February 13, at 8 p.m. (up to a $36.25 value, including all fees). Because the ticket is a G-Pass, our customers can use it to enter the venue directly; they will not need to redeem their voucher at will cal.

Dubbed “rap’s finest storyteller” by Q Magazine, hip-hop savant and original Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah rouses rampant head bobbing with sonorous, fast-paced flow and gritty narratives strewn across addictive beats. The verbally dexterous performer has fostered an infamous fusion of imaginative slang and emotional renditions of cereal ingredients to coax praise from critics across the globe, including an honourable mention for MTV’s Greatest MCs of All Time. Sheek Louch of D-Block Records and rap trio The LOX (filled out by Jadakiss and Styles P.) is no slouch, either. With his knack for spraying forth rhymes like a thesaurus that’s sprung a leak, he has become a sought-after collaborator.

Ghostface and Sheek formed Wu-Block to merge their crews in a landmark consolidation of the East Coast hip-hop old guard. Mixing new tracks such as “Comin’ For Ya Head” and “Cocaine Central,” with classics from the Wu and D-Block catalogue, the group keeps hands waving as they badminton brazen rhymes over thumping, no-nonsense beats. In November, the duo released the album Wu-Block, emphasizing that, as PopMatters put it, “These are the sort of endangered rappers that don’t need to blow their budget out on the music, they just need a soundtrack to fuel their cinematic gangster fantasies and keep the album moving along.” At Sound Academy, Wu-Block will be joined by reggae singer and dubstep MC Trinity Chris and globe-trotting battle-rapper Charron, who emerged as the winner of Aux TV’s Ultimate MC in 2011.
