The Summoning Halloween Street Party
Ghosts, ghouls, and every creature of the night haunt the downtown streets during The Summoning Halloween Street Party. Here, everything revolves around spooks and scares, from the 15 haunted rooms in the 11th street parking garage to the women in black who party in Area 52(09). Admission even includes entrance to the renowned Deathworkz Haunted House and access to one of a kind spectacles such as monster wrestling—Frankenstein vs. the Vampire and Freddy vs. Jason. Costumes are encouraged with contests and add to the festive air in the The Pet Semetary dance club and Chuckie's playhouse of Halloween games.
So that guests don't face their fears on an empty stomach, Texas Chainsaw BBQ carves up burgers bathed in a suspiciously red sauce, fueling brave souls on their way to catch some local metal bands at the Hellraiser Stage. And to earn their rightful crowns and prove to their parents that they were meant to be together even after death, couples can contend for King and Queen of the Zombie Prom.
St. Patrick's Day Lucky Fest
What do you call it when 25 pubs spontaneously appear in a city square? A very lucky day. The party runs from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. at a gallery of custom-made, Ireland-themed bars and restaurants on 11th Street between K and L. But the canvas drinking holes are hardly the most eye-catching part of the party—that honor is a toss up between Grace O'Malley's Fantastic Voyage, a DJ stage shaped like a life-size pirate ship, and the EDM ball held at 51 Fifty Celtic Chaos Irish Castle, a fortress of funk built for one night only.
