- The Plot: In 2017, a fashion designer purchases an abandoned building in New Orleans that used to house a vibrant gay bar. Inside the space, the past comes to life as two different generations explore the advances and the struggles of their marginalized yet tenacious community.
- The Backstory: The new musical, in its own words, is “inspired by one of the most significant yet all-but-ignored attacks against the LGBTQ community,” the deadly 1973 attack on the UpStairs Lounge.
- The Cast: Frenchie Davis, the Broadway star and soul-pop singer who got her start on American Idol, joins Nathan Lee Graham of Zoolander fame as well as up-and-comers Jeremy Pope and Taylor Frey in the musical created by Max Vernon.
