The group's freewheeling romps—which come decked out with feathered boas, high-flying trapeze artists, and scantily clad dancers—have garnered praise from the New York Times, which lauded the act’s “darkly theatrical seduction." In their October performances, the group spins songs from their recent anti-apathy, pro-democracy album Grab a Root and Growl, which includes the jaunty ragtime satire "The Debt Rattle," the campy, vaudeville-flavored "Gasoline," and a cover of the show-tune send-up "Fare Ye Well, Bad Congressman."
