Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny
Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia transports its whimsical production of two beloved children’s tales to the U.S. stage. Both penned by Margaret Wise Brown, a former schoolteacher, and illustrated by Clement Hurd, a Yale- and Paris-educated artist, the stories take on new forms thanks to puppets and original music. The first story sees a sleepy bunny tucked into bed at the end of the day, bidding goodnight to all of the objects he sees. The second story tells of the enduring love between a bunny and his mother even as the bunny morphs into multiple forms.

About Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post
It seems like everyone has played the stage at Tilles Center. Past performers include Yo-Yo Ma, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and even a full-size dragon—or at least a puppet version of one. But not all of their bigger acts come from afar. The venue also plays home to local artistic heroes such as the Eglevsky Ballet.
