What You’ll Do
Three things are required to bend glass to your will: a torch, a kiln, and an ample supply of imagination. During this two-hour workshop, the professional glass artists of Todd Glass Art unlock the secrets of all three.
Watch and Learn
A resident glass artist demonstrates the delicate art required to craft a handblown glass pipe.
Sculpt with Glass
With one-on-one assistance, you will a create pendant, marble, or another small item out of molten glass.
Take Your Art Home
Glass items cool overnight in the kiln, after which you can pick up your finished pieces or arrange for them to be shipped to your home.
Todd Glass Art
To Mark Todd of Todd Glass Art, sculpting glass is a lot like playing jazz. He and his fellow artists improvise as they blow and shape the molten material into different pieces of art—and to complete the circle, Todd always keeps some good tunes playing while he works. It’s a passion that was honed during more than a decade of training, including studies at glassblowing studios in Brooklyn and Boston.
