TorontoJazzBuzz presents Sweet Botheration Fest

TorontoJazzBuzz brings local jazz maestros to play retro New Orleans-inspired, old-fashioned hot jazz in old-fashioned venues. Fans of Boardwalk Empire will tap their toes and shake their boutonnieres to the Gatsby-era ivory-tickling of host Mboya Nicholson, who’s performed privately for Academy Award winning director, Francis Ford Coppola in his home. Joining him is trumpeter William Sperandei, who has toured with nine-time jazz Grammy winner, Wynton Marsalis, led a band featuring sidemen from American Idol judge, Harry Connick Jr’s Grammy winning jazz orchestra, and whose horn subbed for Louis Armstrong’s in the Satchmo biopic Louis. Saxophonist, Don Englert who has performed with Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, and Aretha Franklin will also share the stage with Nicholson and Sperandei.
