Toymail WiFi Walkie-Talkie
Technology for kids, only without the screen. That’s the idea behind Mailmen—cute, mailbox-shaped animals that double as WiFi walkie talkies. These smart toys, created by MIT entrepreneur Gauri Nanda and her best friend, Audry Hill, receive voice messages sent through the Toymail app, which loved ones can use on their iOS & Android devices. When each toy receives a message, it alerts kids with a wacky sound, relays the message, and gives kids an opportunity to reply with the simple press of a button. This system, which earned attention from the New York Times, is an easy and fun way for family to communicate with little ones, no matter the distance.
