Das Best Oktoberfest

Even thousands of miles away from Munich, the spirit of Oktoberfest reigns supreme in the States. On October 13, Das Best Oktoberfest brings the merriment of the beloved German holiday to Baltimore with beer, sausages, music, and contests throughout the day. Here’s a look at some of the day’s festivities:

• All-You-Care-To-Taste: It wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without the beer—and lots of it. Guests get a souvenir glass upon entering which they can use to taste-test over 150 International, domestic, and local beers, plus domestic wines and schnapps all day long.
• Bavarian Tunes: Oompah bands and Polka bands performed by regional artists will keep everyone stepping in beat throughout the day.
• Taste more than beer: Stop by the fest’s brat concessionaires who will be cooking up sausages and other tasty German  delicacies.

• Compete in a Contest like the Stein-Holding Contest, the Biggest Beer Belly competition, or take home a coveted cash prize in the Homebrew Contest.
