The Scouting Report
In March, Canada’s top university basketball teams will descend upon Vancouver to answer one burning question: Who will be the national champion? For the first time in more than four decades, the best men’s basketball teams in Canada will converge at UBC for the CIS Final 8 National Championship Tournament. The UBC Thunderbirds are hosting the tournament, which is coming to the west coast for the first time since 1982. Although the match-ups have yet to be decided, the tournament’s squads will attempt to snatch the crown and write their names on it before anyone can say anything during semi-final and medal rounds on March 19 and 20.
