What You'll Get
Like cliff diving or ferret ownership, football is an endeavor best watched from the sidelines. Witness acts of bodily bravery with today’s deal: for $10, you get two family end-zone tickets to a UC Davis football game at Aggie Stadium in Davis (up to a $20 value; tickets are $5 for youths 17 and younger). Choose from the following games:
- Against the San Diego Toreros on Saturday, September 17, at 6 p.m.
- Against the Humboldt State Lumberjacks on Saturday, October 8, at 6 p.m.
- The homecoming game against the University of Texas–San Antonio Roadrunners on Saturday, October 15, at 2 p.m.
- Against the North Dakota Fighting Sioux on Saturday, November 12, at 2 p.m.<p>
2009 Great West Conference champs the UC Davis Aggies strive to reclaim their crown before moving to the Big Sky Conference in 2012. Deal-getters will enjoy the game from family end-zone seats, where they can witness heroic acts such as Aggie touchdowns and firemen rescuing kittens from the goalposts. This year, sophomore quarterback Randy Wright—2010’s Great West Rookie of the Year—hopes to turn award-givers’ heads by besting last season’s 2,432 passing yards and 17 touchdowns. After earning All-Conference First-Team honors last season, senior place-kicker Sean Kelley plans to nab the school scoring record by tallying 71 points with an antique abacus.
At Aggie Stadium, guests can model their favorite blue-and-gold fashions and toast the game with up to 10,849 of their closest friends. Fans may sing along to the marching band’s rousing rendition of the Aggie fight song or confuse rival teams by reciting the Bossy Cow Cow cheer in Klingon.
