Valentine’s Day Drive-In Movie Under the Stars
The Movie: The Longest Ride, a 2015 drama based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. Driving home form their first date, a professional bull rider (Scott Eastwood) and an art student (Britt Robertson) save an older widower (Alan Alda) from a car wreck. He himself is an art lover, living in a house packed with his late wife’s paintings. Through a series of flashbacks and obstacles, the two couples’ stories intertwine, proving that romantic love can weather decades of turmoil.
The Venue: An expansive, rolling landscape anchored by a two-story outdoor movie screen. Audience members are invited to sit in their cars, or directly on the lawn.
The Refreshments: Local gourmet eats, cooked up by the chefs of an on-site food truck.
