What You'll Do
The design of the Kul Ame Studio Gallery sets the tone for an inspiring, rejuvenating, and relaxing experience: the walls are lined with stunning paintings and photography, and soothing music evokes the perfect ambience. Join Vanessa Guild, an acclaimed meditation teacher, as you learn the benefits of meditation and get an intro on how to incorporate the practice into your own life. Vanessa then guides you through three different types of meditation—awareness, walking, and breathing — derived from practices like Zen and Vipassana, as you engage on a journey to become more present and live in the moment.

Feel free to ask questions at the end of the session, and leave with serenity stones to bring your attention back to the present moment
Each event is capped at 20 participants; each event requires a minimum of 8 participants in order to take place.
With over 13 years of experience, training under masters like Dr. Benjamin Wren and Azim Khaimisa, recognized by the Dalai Lama, and completing 20 days of silence at a Vipassana meditation retreat, Vanessa Guild’s expertise speaks for itself. But one of the most pivotal moments in Vanessa’s practice came from tragedy: after Hurricane Katrina, Vanessa lost everything she’d worked for, and was unable to find any of her family or friends for two weeks. What helped her cope with this unimaginable circumstance was living one moment at a time, and incorporating meditation practices into her life in order to find peace amidst chaos. Vanessa inspires others to cope with the ups and downs in their life by leading acclaimed meditation classes and workshops.
Where You'll Meet
Even without the colorful artwork splashed across its pristine white walls, Kul Ame Studio Gallery would give off a dreamlike vibe. The studio's all-glass front and strategic use of mirrors conspire to stretch the space's dimensions, making it feel as if its collection of abstract expressionist paintings and evocative photographs go on forever.
