The Scouting Report
Can a team that won only 37 games last year have championship potential this season? The Heat thinks so. And they’ve built up a compelling case. Exhibits A through E: the star-studded likely starting five, which includes Dwayne Wade, Luol Deng, Chris Bosh, Goran Dragic, and Hassan Whiteside. In 2014–15, these five combined for an average of 84.7 points per game by themselves, a prolific output that could propel the team back up the Eastern Conference standings and give the rest of the Heat roster more time to work on their crossword puzzles.
