The Scouting Report

The 2015–16 season marks the Rutgers Scarlet Knights’ second as part of the Big Ten Conference. Last year, the team posted a respectable 8-5 record overall and 3-5 record in conference play—a mark that included losses to legitimate powerhouses Wisconsin, Michigan State, and eventual national champion Ohio State. This year, the team looks to continue on the trajectory set by high points such as its regular season victory over Michigan, its bowl game win over North Carolina, and its post-game slumber party with Indiana. Returning starters Leonte Caroo (WR) and Steve Longa (LB), as well as new QB Hayden Rettig and transfer linebacker Kaiwan Lewis, will have a lot to do with how that vision plays out. This game against Washington State will provide the Knights with an early test that could determine the path of the remainder of the season.
