2016 Volvo Car Open
This April, more than 70 world-class athletes and nearly 100,000 fans will descend upon Daniel Island for the 44th Volvo Car Open. Though its field has yet to be finalized, the tournament has become an annual stop for many of the sport’s best players—in fact, last year’s group featured eight of the top 20 players in the world. Some 20 countries were also represented at the the 2015 tournament, including the U.S., which sent nine players and one bald eagle as an honorary ball boy.
Squeezed in between net-hugging volleys and supersonic aces, special activities amplify the week’s festive atmosphere with nightly happenings, including coffee and smoothie stations, interactive games, happy hour specials, and live music.
