WXC 59: Homeland Pride
Some of Michigan’s most ferocious MMA fighters will defend their home state during Homeland Pride on August 8—and a few of those brawlers will have even more at stake. In the main event, Josh “Short Stack” Robinson returns home to defend his WXC bantamweight title against UFC veteran Johnny “Brutal” Bedford, who hails from Texas. The evening’s co-main event, meanwhile, will place the WXC welterweight title on the line as current champion and Baltimore native Tenyeh “Skinnyman” Dixon exchanges blows and local dining tips with The Mitten’s own Dequan “The Tarantula” Townsend. All told, more than 10 bouts are scheduled for the event’s fight card, which figures to go down as one of the most-exciting cards in WXC history.
