The 19-foot praying mantis is just one of the many larger-than-life insects at this exhibit. Kids learn all about the secret world of bugs as they explore the plus-sized exhibits and get up close with real life bugs!
Big Washington’s Imagination Workshop
Specially designed for kids 10 and younger, the workshop invites little ones to discover hidden treasure in the archeology sand pit, lighten things up at the circuitry lab, and puzzle through Rubik’s cubes and mazes to their hearts content.

If an adult wants to go to the Workshop, sans child, they have to pay. Washington State Fair gate admission is required for ages 6+ and must be purchased separately to enter the Fair gate. Gate admission is free for ages 5 and under.
