Don your apron and head for the kitchen with this GrouponLive deal to attend the What's Cooking Detroit Food and Cooking Expo with Cake Boss Buddy Valastro at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday, April 21. For $22, you get two general-admission tickets to the expo and two tickets for seating in sections 118–122 to the 5 p.m. cooking demo by Buddy Valastro (up to a $45.50 value, including fees). Hundreds of vendors in seven exhibit areas will take over The Palace for the What's Cooking Detroit food and cooking expo. Visitors can sample food, taste wine, or check out new kitchen products. At the Culinary U stage, hourly classes lend tips for artfully frosting cakes and cupcakes, and the Healthy Living stage dishes out wholesome recipes.

TLC's Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro, leads a list of cooking personalities. At 5 p.m., ticket holders can move to the main stage for Buddy's live cooking demonstration. A fourth-generation baker from Hoboken, New Jersey, Buddy helms Carlo's Bake Shop—which has been in his family for 102 years—and deals with suppliers, deliveries, walk-in customers, and bridezillas demanding strapless frosting dresses. Through it all, he has whipped up decorative techniques that take cake architecture to new culinary and artistic heights.
