My family has been gong to Jellystone Park in Wisconsin Dells for over 45 years. In the past 5-6 years it has really gone down hill as far as the condition of the park. Even though they advertise they have made improvements throughout the park. The bathrooms are in poor, poor condition, especially the one by the pool area. It never clean. There is never anyone around cleaning. Years ago, they would go around cleaning restrooms almost on an hourly basis. We were there visiting family that were camping. So after we were done in the pool area we went back to the campsite. I was amazed how the shrubs around some of the sites have grown out of hand, making parking your vehicle next to your camper almost impossible!. When we pulled in to the front gate, and presented our Groupon, the young, foreign speaking "gate-keeper" was very confused, was not sure how to handle our check in. I had to explain to her more than once that we were just visiting for the day, not camping, just using the pool and splash pad area. She had to call someone to get help, and she told me they were bringing over our wristbands, which made no sense because they were the same as everyone was using at the park. It took us about 20 minutes just to get through the gate. Very inconvenient. Will we return? Probably. only because it is a family tradition and we have a few families that come from out of state that like to continue the tradition as well. Would I pay to camp there myself? No. I will go down the road and pay less at a different campground that is clean, kept up very nicely, and not all their staff is foreign.
