In the brick-lined, subterranean showroom of Wise Guys Comedy Club & 201 Bistro, nationally touring rib ticklers ply their craft from a stage that has held Ray Romano, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Kevin James. Valid for shows Sunday–Friday, the club's schedule includes upcoming performers such as Jay Black (July 19–21), who brings a genial air to stories of his former career as a just-graduated, 21-year-old high-school teacher. Laurence Mullaney joins him all three nights, mixing self-deprecating one-liners with stories about his militant Marine household and his own time in the Corps. A week later, Mike P. Burton (July 26–28), a former substitute warm-up comedian for Rachael Ray, launches into wide-eyed rants, coaxing out chuckles with manic tirades about living with girlfriends and the incomprehensible linguistic choices of the youth. Philadelphia native Chip Chantry joins him, making light of his personal shortcomings such as his inability to affect a tough-guy persona or make sense of blue-jean styles.

Customer Reviews

I would definitely go to Wise Guys again. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Although we did not have dinner on this night; I do believe that we will go again and enjoy dinner as well
