What You'll Get
Jesters were usually the wisest members of royal courts, due to the extra brains stored in their three-pronged hats. Let a modern jokester share some of his brains with you with today’s deal: for $20, you get two general-admission tickets to a comedy show (up to a $24 value) and one appetizer (up to a $10.25 value), plus a voucher for two additional tickets to a future show (up to a $24 value) at Wits End Comedy Club in Westminster (up to a $58.25 total value). There is a two-item minimum purchase during performances: drinks, food, and merchandise count toward the total, including the appetizer that is part of today’s deal.
Co-founded more than 20 years ago by Carol McKelvey—wife of acclaimed comedian George McKelvey—and managed by a team of fresh new faces, Wits End Comedy Club serves as a meeting place for Denver-area laugh lovers. Local and touring comedians drop in via parachutes Thursday–Saturday, wowing patrons with sidesplitting standup and expertly stuck landings, and a frequently updated calendar keeps showgoers abreast of future performances. In August, voucher holders can check out comedians such as Nancy Reed (August 18–20), a top-10 finalist in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and Cal Verduchi (August 4–6), who dazzles crowds with impersonations of Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Farley, and fellow impressionist Claude Monet. During the show, guests can munch on appetizers such as buffalo wings ($10.25/lb.) and cheesy spinach and artichoke dip ($7.50), or they can sip an ale ($4.25+) from the bar to fulfill their two-purchase requirement (drinks not included with this deal).
