What You'll Get

Like advertising, baseball relies on great pitches, a loyal fan base, and the power of grown men in animal costumes to sway public opinion. Endorse America’s pastime with today’s deal to see the Worcester Tornadoes at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field. Choose between the following options:

 • For $19, you get a baseball outing for two (a $66 total value).
 • For $29, you get a baseball outing for four (a $132 total value).

For each person, the outing includes the following: * Box seating (a $10 value) * Worcester Tornadoes baseball cap (a $15 value) * One soda (a $3 value) * One hot dog (a $3 value) * One bag of chips (a $2 value)

This deal is valid for any of the following games: * The home opener against the Capitales de Québec on Monday, May 21, at 7:05 p.m. * Against the Capitales de Québec on Tuesday, May 22, at 7:05 p.m. * Against the Newark Bears on Tuesday, May 29, at 7:05 p.m.

Led by just-promoted manager Chip Plante, the Worcester Tornadoes look to repeat their 2005 CanAm League championship victory against their CanAm rivals. Infielder Chris Colabello returns after a hard-hitting .348 batting average in the 2011 season, and righty Ryan Bicondoa strives to boost his stellar 7–1 record, pitching balls that break batters’ hearts with vicious curves and unfulfilled promises of candlelit dinners. The Tornadoes’ season at home begins with two games against the fearsome Capitales—league champions in 2009, 2010, and 2011—who will test the team in a crucible of Québécois fire. Next, the team looks to clean up against the Bears, who will try to erase the memory of a losing 2011 season and the league’s refusal to allow an exhibition game against real bears. Games take place at the venerable Fitton Field, whose history stretches back to 1905 and which has hosted the hallowed cleats of Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth.
