Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

I am interested in buying tickets for my family however we are two adults and one 3 year old. Does the 3 year old need a full price ticket or would we be better off buying the deal for two and paying for anything else for our son when we get there?

laura G.  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

Hi Laura. I would suggest the 2-pass deal and go either child's pass or a la carte for your 3-year old.

More Questions and Answers

Q:

Hello, We are a family of six, with children's ages ranging from 5-15. Should I buy one 4 pack and one 2 pack or are there children rates that I should purchase instead? Also what restrictions would there be for children?

Becky R.  asked on  May 8, 2013

A:

Hi Becky. Sorry for the delay in responding. While the child's day pass is less than the adult's, the 50% savings is much greater. However, the Groupon offer is limited to 1 per person. You might try to buy one of each and see what happens. Otherwise you need a second subscriber in the house. Hope this helps.

Q:

The description says admission to most thrill rides - what is not included?

Janet  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

Good question, Janet. The full text is 'most thrill rides and attractions'. In fact all 'thrill rides' are included. The attractions that are not included are the geode cutting, sluice box mining and shooting galleries. That is it, however.

Q:

I have threein my party - not two or four. Is there something for one person or three persons? If not, can I buy a four pack and sell to someone the single leftover pass?

David K.  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

David, this Groupon has options for either four 1-day passes to be used on the same day or two 1-day passes to be used on the same day. The price of the 4-pack Groupon is the same as a 2-pack plus the purchase of a single pass...$96.

Hello David. The Groupon applies to only 2-pack and 4-pack options. The price of the 4-pack is the same price as the 2-pack plus a single over-the-counter day pass. $96.

Q:

The explanation of the 2 options mentioned "unlimited admission to most thrill rides and attractions, including the Giant Canyon Swing, Cliffhanger roller coaster, the Alpine Coaster, Soaring Eagle zip ride, indoor laser tag and much more" but I went to the Glenwood Caverns website just to see what all was offered because I have never been before, and it seems that for a normal day pass, none of the mentioned attractions aside from the laser tag are included. Was that simply a list of attractions, or will this Groupon Daypass get me unlimited access to all of those rides which normally cost extra?

Josh H.  asked on  May 8, 2013

A:

Hi Josh. You may have been looking at the simple Tram Ride and admission. The Summer Funday Pass offered in this deal includes access to all of those thrill rides and attractions.

Q:

My husband and I will be traveling with 3 teenagers and a 1 yr old. Will there be anything for the baby and I to do while the others enjoy the thrill rides? Is the caving safe enough to have a child in a backpack? Do you even recommend the baby being there at all? Thanks!

Theresa B.  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

Hi Theresa. We have a great sand box that the 1 year old can play in while the others enjoy the parks attractions! The caving is safe enough for the baby, but the child would have to be carried or put in a front pack, so they don’t bump their head on the cave. Sometimes the smaller kids do not like the cave.

Q:

I also bought a groupon getaway for glenwood springs to stay at a Glenwood springs hotel. The only dates they had available for me and my family to stay was 5/25/13 -5/27/13. I saw that this deal was not valid for these dates. I do not think that is fair considering that was the only weekend they had available for me.

MONICA D.  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

So sorry, Monica. We don't coordinate our Groupon with other Glenwood Springs businesses. Perhaps the hotel will have some changes in availability.

Q:

We've been planning a trip to Glenwood for years now... finally booked a cabin for August! But this is only good through June?? Is there any way it can be extended thru August 10?

Terri R.  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

Hi Terri! The expiration is firm on the offer. If you are in Colorado, please come up early....it'll be well worth it.
