Absolutely wonderful experience. The only thing that would make it better is if there were a little more space in the restaurant. Otherwise, a perfect experience!

What You'll Get

Many American bistros differentiate themselves from their European counterparts by serving region-specific dishes and replacing waiters with Bruce Springsteen. Satisfy a hungry heart with today’s Groupon to Gnam Gnam Gelato Bistro in Greensboro. Choose between the following options:

  • For $9, you get two combo meals (up to a $19 value).
  • For $5, you get $10 worth of gelato and entrees.<p>

Gnam Gnam Gelato Bistro recreates the dulcet flavors of Europe for local mouths with a menu of made-to-order artisan paninis, sorbetto, and a rotating selection of more than 80 inventive gelato flavors made fresh and on site daily. Servers heap scoops of the bistro’s namesake treat ($3.75 for four scoops; $17.75 for 20-scoop quart), disguised as eggnog, tiramisu, and Nutella, and the spaghetti gelato reimagines its savory counterpart with vanilla gelato, strawberry syrup, white-chocolate shavings, and a longing for the old country.

Combo meals take taste buds on a whirlwind tour of Europe with match-‘em-ups that include the turkey-stuffed Gobbler panini or the california BLT, both layered in avocado and chipotle mayo and paired with two scoops of decadent gelato ($8.75), a cup of soup ($9.50), or a house salad ($9.50). Go solo with a toasted veggie wrap, chock-full of grilled eggplant, zucchini, and squash slathered in tzatziki sauce ($7.95), or take the first bold steps toward filling the neighbor’s in-ground pool with pasta with the angel-hair aglio olio ($7.50) drizzled in spicy garlic oil and studded with artichokes and red peppers. The cozy bistro also serves daily specials and tapas ($9.95/plate) such as shrimp scampi and herb-breaded chicken.

About Gnam Gnam Gelato & Bistro

Selim Oztalay had been having sweet dreams of opening his own Italian gelato shop for many years. Growing up in Germany allowed him to not only be exposed to a variety of cultures, but also a variety of artisan gelato flavors that he missed when he moved to the United States. Hoping to expose American tongues to fine Italian flavors, he opened Gnam Gnam Gelato & Bistro. Named after the Italian saying for "delicious," Gnam Gnam makes visitors say just that with a rotating selection of more than 80 fresh to order inventive gelato flavors made fresh and onsite daily. Gelato is a healthy alternative to ice cream is half the calories and half the fat of ice cream. Servers heap scoops of the bistro’s namesake treat disguised as eggnog, tiramisu, and Nutella. Those with larger hankerings can be sated with cooked to order entrees from the full menu which features gourmet sandwiches and wraps such as the San Francisco chicken wrap, cranberry turkey sandwich, and California BLT. For a healthier take, they also serve up fresh salads such as the flavorful Bistro Salad and crispy chicken salad. Gnam Gnam's menu is filled with a variety of options from hearty meals to delightfully refreshing deserts.
