The owners are kind and care about one's learning. Handouts were provided; opportunities to ask questions and to take pictures, too. We would go back again for another class!

About A Chat with Gobi Photography

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? We provide a fun and easy way to learn the fundamentals of photography. Our hands-on workshop explains in simple language how to create stunning pictures. We start in the classroom, learning about your camera, and the principles and techniques needed to take great photos. This is followed by a hands-on scavenger hunt using the lessons learned

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? We simply love photography and sharing it with anyone that is interested in learning. We have experienced many photography courses that were lecture-centered and very technical. We want to offer photography courses that are FUN and hands-on. Courses that teach you what you need to know quickly without getting lost in the technical jargon. Of course, we will still cover all the aspects of photography such as; What do all those knobs and buttons do, and what the heck is a F-stop? How to get those soft blurred backgrounds? Choosing the right focus modes for still or moving subjects. Should you shoot RAW or JPEG and why?

What do you love most about your job? Being able to share our love of photography with others, and inspiring them to take great images; images that document who they are, where they have been, and what they have done. Images they can share with their friends and family.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? We feel great when customers tell us they finally understand a topic they struggled with, and realized it really was not that hard at all.
