Gold Dust Lounge
Gold Dust Lounge opened at Fisherman's Wharf in 2013, but its legacy goes back much further than that. The former Union Square mainstay was frequented by famous Pulitzer Prize–winning newspaper columnist Herb Caen and singer Janis Joplin, who took turns playing tunes on the jukebox, to name just a few. But despite its recent relocation, Gold Dust Lounge retains much of the look and feel of its predecessor, thanks to design elements such as mirrors and chandeliers that were brought over from the original spot. In addition to similar decor, the new Gold Dust Lounge boasts live music every night of the week and the same stiff drinks of the previous incarnation.
