The marathon takes place on Saturday, September 29, 2012, with festivities kicking off at 10 a.m. Runners take off from the Monte Cristo area and make their way through a willow-tree-lined river canyon. The trail winds through mountains and aspen forests, descending 3,500 feet by the time the race ends at Huntsville Town Park.<p>
