Q:

What constitutes a new customer? My husband has not had a membership in at least 6 months, probably longer. Also, once this intial 3 month period expires if he wishes to continue with his membership, do you still have the annual maintenance fee and how much is it? I already saw a question posted that asked if they could change plans and not be charged the enrollment fee. You answered that the enrollment fee would not be charged, but did not state whether or not the plan could be changed. Thank you!

Brenda W.  asked on  May 9, 2013

A:

Hey Brenda - if your husband's membership has been cancelled and he is not currently a Gold's Gym member,, yes we will classify him as a new member. Once the 3-month period expires, you are able to either retain the Platinum membership level or downgrade to the Gold membership without having to pay any additional enrollment fee. Hope this helps!

Q:

Does the Platinum membership expire in August? I want to activate my membership in July and would expect to get 3 months (through October). Even though I am purchasing this Groupon will I be required to give you all a credit card, I do not want to automatically enroll as a result of purchasing this Groupon and then start receiving a monthly bill from Gold's Gym...

tyrone s.  asked on  May 9, 2013

A:

Hey Tyrone - you must simply activate this Groupon by the expiration date. Once activated, your 3-month membership will begin. As for billing, all payment for this deal is handled through Groupon, so you won't be required to give a credit card.

Q:

Hi. After the 3 month membership is over can I continue my membership by paying the monthly fee of $19.99? Will I be required to pay the $99 joining fee again or will it already be covered by my Groupon payment? Thanks.

Ragan  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

Ragan - should you decide to stay with Gold's Gym following this 3-month membership, you will not be required to pay an additional enrollment fee. You would simply be paying the monthly fee moving forward!

Q:

Does this groupon include unlimited use of the tanning beds?

Bonnie B.  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

Hey Bonnie - this Groupon does not included unlimited tanning. However, that can be added on at the club level for just $5 per month!

Q:

Am I understanding this correctly that the $99.95 joining fee is included in the $39. Also after the three months am I obligated to continue?

Peggy L.  asked on  May 6, 2013

A:

Hey Peggy - you are correct. The standard enrollment fee is included in this Groupon package. And there are no contracts with our membership, so you can cancel at any time.
