Q:

I understand 5 is the minumum age to ride. However, the adult exceeds the weight limit. Can two 9-yr olds and two 13-yr olds go together on the same ride without the parent?? All are first time alone riders, but well behaved and good listeners. I trust you know what you're doing and have done this many times before with children.....

A:

Please reach out to the stable at (561) 376-5352 to see if children would be allowed to ride without a guardian present. Very sorry for the delay, and thanks for your interest!

Q:

I would like to take my Grandchild, who has ridden a horse once for an hour last year when she was 3. What is the youngest age that is allowed on a trail ride? I grew up on our family owned Dude Ranch and have owned horse until the last 4 years and will be completely responsible for leading her horse. If it is not possible I understand but would like to get her on a horse one way or another. Last time I led her and was on foot. I'd rather lead her off another horse if you had a gentle enough mount for her but if I needed to walk and lead her I would also do that.

Teri H.  asked on  Apr 19, 2013

A:

The minimum age for riders is 5 years old. For more information, please reach out to the stables directly at (561) 376-5352.
