Q:

Do you have to take a class/instructions? How long is that part? What are your hours on the weekened?

Deb  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

no class, or instruction, other then going over the safety part and showing you how the equipment works. That only takes a few moments. The hours are 10 to dark Monday thru Thursday and 10 to 5 on Friday thru Sunday.

Q:

Is there any instruction with this groupon or is it just for the range time and clays? I've never shot clays before so without some pointers I would probably just be shooting lead into the sky.

eric m.  asked on  Oct 20, 2012

A:

No instruction, other then someone showing you how the equipment works and going over safety with you. If you would like instruction, we can give you the phone numbers to some instrutors in the area that could make an appointment to meet you here.

Q:

Do yo need experience with a gun? I would like to purchase this groupon for 2, but neither of us have ever used a gun.

Wendy C.  asked on  Oct 20, 2012

A:

A lot of the people that buy these are first time shooters. That's why you get the gun rental. We will take you down to the course and show you how the equipment works and get you going. If you would like instruction, we can give you the phone number to an instructor, then you could make an appointment with them to meet you out here at the time of using the groupon. They will charge you their hourly rate to do that though.

Q:

Do you child shot gun; a 28g or 20ga with a shorter stock to rent?

shawn h.  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

We have one Youth Model Remington 870. It is a 20 gauge with a short barrell and a short stock on it. If you are wanting to use that gun, when making your reservation, just let who ever is taking the reservation know that you will require that gun.

Q:

do you have to be 18? I want to bring my 17 year old

Deb  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

No, you do not have to be 18. We have no age limit. I tell people as long as they are mature enough to understand that they need to be safe with a live firearm and strong enough to handle the gun then they are old enough to shoot.

Q:

Can you define 50 rounds? Do all 50 rounds have to be used in a single day?

Jason  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

It's 50 clay pigeons. Yes all targets need to be used the day that you come out to use them. 50 targets isn't hard to run through. Sounds like a lot, but when using target loads it's not gonna be that rough on the shoulder.

Q:

Hi - I don't need to rent a gun or buy ammunition. Any chance the number of clays per person could be increased to 75? Thanks

Bob M.  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

Nope, buying ammo here is not required, and if you don't need the gun rental, you don't have to make a reservation.

Q:

We would like to purchase the four pack for our family. Our sons are 10 and 12 and shoot at a range. Does this include children? Thanks

Pamela L.  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

We do not put an age limit on how old a person has to be to shoot out here. As long as they are strong enough to handle the guns and mature enough to understand that they are using real firearms and if they disobey the safety on the range someone could get hurt, then they are old enough to come out. I joke and tell people that I have 9 and 10 year olds that shoot in our junior leagues out here with no problems, but I have to kick 40 year old men out of here for the reasons stated above.
