Q:

My question is can I use them both. Will the 7 day pass disqualify me to use the 20for20. Quote "Not valid for customers within the past 60 days."

Huai H.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

Yes, unfortunately. The seven day pass is valid for first time guests only; so the decision will be up to you if you feel like using seven days consecutively for free, or 20 visits at a $1 per visit that you can use for the ensuing 60 days.

Q:

Never try gold gym before, I am interested the 20for 20 offer. But if I plan to use the free 7 days VIP pass, am I considered as a customer ?

Huai H.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

Hi Huai, this is Charlotte from Gold's Gym - If you choose to use the 7-day pass, those must be used consecutively. The 20 visits do not need to be consecutive.

Q:

Hi I looked at the schedule on the Gold's website and I didn't see a decription for the other 2 classes mentioned in the groupon...Xpress Circuit and Cross Train. Are these scheduled classes? I am a little hesitant on the focus master because I don't have boxing gloves and wraps and don't really want to purchase without trying it out first.

Sally D.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

Hi Sally, this is Charlotte from Gold's Gym. I will see if we can't update the descriptions to reflect both Cross Train and Xpress Circuit - in the meantime, we have both wraps and gloves available for your use during Focusmaster, and we also sell a variety of wraps and gloves in our pro shop. I will get a description of the other two classes up asap! In the meantime: Xpress Circuit: This 30 minute total body workout incorporates five cable machines for controlled weight-lifting with functional body weight exercises in an intense circuit set at a fat-torching, muscle-building pace. Cross Train - This 30 minute total body workout incorporates kettllebells, jump boxes, ropes and other tools to help you train for maximum functional strength. Build a body that’s stronger than it looks, plus build resiliency and resistance to injury. Thank you for your interest!

Q:

Could I buy both the $20 and the $39 package and use them both for myself? I was just about to enroll but would love the see if the focus master classes are worth it for me.

Judy S.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

Hi Judy, this is Charlotte from Gold's Gym and I love your enthusiasm! You can buy both, use them both... it's all good. Here's the catch - you'll want to sure to use all 30 visits by October 31, 2012. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you in the club! Cheers!!

Q:

I purchased 2 vouchers for the 20 days for $20 on 5/19/11 that expired on 8/19/11 - can I redeem these at the Guilderland location since they're still worth $40?

Michele V.  asked on  Aug 21, 2012

A:

Hi Michele - great question, and YES you sure can. I am sorry to hear you were unable to use the previous Groupon - if you'd like, we can pay it forward into this Groupon, if you feel that you'd be better able to now use the sessions. Please call John Raiti in our Guilderland club and he will be more than happy to help. Thank you for your support and we'll see you in the club!

Q:

I am already a Gold's member but would like to take advantage of getting the 10 Elite sessions. However, I'm confused by the line: Not valid for customers within the past 60 days. Maybe I'm being dumb but would I be considered a customer as an existing gym member? Or does this mean only people who have signed up in the last 60 days? Thank you for your help

Melissa B.  asked on  Aug 21, 2012

A:

This stipulation would include you because you have been a member within the last 60 days.

Mira H.  from  Self  replied on  Aug 21, 2012

A:

HI Melissa, this is Charlotte at Gold's Gym - I would love to have you talk with someone from your home club about what other offers we have for you, given that your currently a member. Not sure what your home club is, but please feel free to ask the manager for some additional options that will get you into our Elite training classes! Thank you for your interest and we'll see you in the club!

Q:

I have a three month membership to Gold's Gym in Latham which expires in October. Can I still buy the $39 groupon that offers the extra fitness classes, i.e Focusmaster etc (which I do not now have with my basic membership?)

Michele R.  asked on  Aug 21, 2012

A:

The Fine Print for this deal says: Not valid for customers within the past 60 days.

Mira H.  from  Self  replied on  Aug 21, 2012

Hi Michele, this is Charlotte from Gold's Gym - given that you're already a member, I am fairly certain we have a great deal that we can offer you, and if you wouldn't mind, please contact our Gold's Gym Latham location and speak with Zac or Elliot and they would be more than happy to help! Thanks for your support and we'll see you in Latham!

Q:

I know someone already asked about the expiration date and I realize that you must activate the deal by Sept 30, 2012, but once activated, how long do you have to redeem all 20 sessions? Saying "by expiration date listed on the Groupon" does not answer the question before I decide to buy the deal. Can you clarify the expiration date to use all 20 visits?

Kathleen O.  asked on  Aug 21, 2012

A:

HI Kathleen - this is Charlotte from Gold's Gym - great question. The sessions must be used by October 31, 2012. Let us know if you have any other questions! Cheers and see you in the club!

Q:

This may be a goofy question... The $39 for 10 trainer sessions... just wanted to confirm that includes simply using the gym for that day? Or alternatively, I could come in and just use the gym for one of the ten, rather than meet with a trainer? Seems to only make sense, as the other Groupon was $20 for 20 visits, but just like to make sure in advance. It's a very nice Groupon) Thank you.

Todd J.  asked on  Aug 21, 2012

A:

Hi Todd, this is Charlotte from Gold's Gym. Your 10 session pass includes any of our three half-hour Elite group training sessions. These 30-miniute classes include up to 11 other participants and are coached by a member of our training staff. They are an added benefit to the pass, but each of the ten visits does of course include access to the gym for the day. Hope this answers your question! Looking forward to seeing you in the club.
