What You'll Get
An Israeli surf band, kid-rock favorites and a Sephardic indie group join the jam at the latest Silicon Valley Jewish Music Festival. Tel Aviv-based quartet Boom Pam are not only famed in their homeland for their hit-making mix of Mediterranean, Balkan, Greek, rock and surf music, but they've appeared at major festivals across the globe, including SXSW, The Winnipeg Folk Fest, Japan's Fuji-Rock, Argentina's Lollapalooza and more. DeLeon is a Sephardic folk-indie band out of New York, and children's favorites The Pop Ups are bringing their rock-puppet musical, Great Pretenders Club to Los Gatos as well. Along with the musical lineup, the festival features artisan vendors, lots of food (including kosher options), and kids' activity booths. The fun gets going on the athletic field at the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center, so bring your blankets and lawn chairs and get ready to groove.
