What You'll Get
Now in its 27th year, the Washington Jewish Film Festival honors Oscar-winning director-writer-producer Barry Levinson with its Visionary Award at the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring. Though he's well-known for hit films like Rain Man, Bugsy and Good Morning, Vietnam, the Baltimore native is most famed for his series of features exploring characters and issues in his own hometown. The semi-autobiographical classic Diner kicked it all off, followed by Tin Men and Avalon. But as part of this special event, you'll also have the chance to see the finale of his "Baltimore quartet," Liberty Heights, on the big screen. Set in 1954, the film stars Ben Foster and Adrien Brody as suburban Jewish brothers who both embark on forbidden relationships as their city and world hover on the verge of major social changes. The tickets identified in this promotion are made available through Goldstar.
