What You'll Get
Famed for its warm and interactive stage-free musical experience, Le Salon de Musiques features chamber music in an intimate environment -- the fifth floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The season finale, a program of delightful works for strings and piano, pays homage to three compositional masters of the Romantic era -- Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann and Fanny Mendelssohn. Hear them played by a talented quintet consisting of violinists Ambroise Aubrun and Serena McKinney, Rob Brophy on viola, Jacob Braun on cello and pianist Francois Chouchan. Le Salon de Musiques's musicologist, Kristi Brown-Montesano, will be on hand to introduce and give context to the works, and after the performance, you're invited to join the musicians for a Q&A, as well as a reception featuring champagne and a gourmet high-tea buffet catered by Patina.
