Everyone's favorite ogre is coming to the stage at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in this musical adaptation of the beloved animated film. Throw just about every fairy tale ever told into a blender, and you end up with Shrek The Musical, a hip and funny mashup in which a very unlikely hero teams up with a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess who's anything but a damsel in distress. Together, the trio takes on the short-tempered bad guy, Lord Farquaad, to save their fairy-tale kingdom. Featuring music by Tony Award-winner Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire, Shrek The Musical promises to be great fun for the whole family.
