From Copland's ode to rural life in Appalachian Spring to the hustle and bustle of the Jazz Age in Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue to classics of stage and screen, this two-week concert series brings the full spectrum of American music to Benaroya Hall. The eclectic program includes a tribute to the sci-fi sounds of the theremin, hypnotic journeys into minimalist masterpieces and a musical ride through the movies, from Gone with the Wind to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
